The Guild Kansas City Weddings

Kansas City Wedding Photographer

Paige and her bridesmaids spent the morning being pampered at the Hello Lovely KC salon located in the River Market District. The space has incredible natural light with gold and white decor. It’s spacious enough for all of your bridal party to comfortably prep for the day, complete with a kitchenette and dressing rooms. Ashley and her team come highly recommended by myself and many of my clients. These women do incredible work and always take the extra step to make their brides feel safe and like the most beautiful version of themselves for their wedding.

Kansas City Art Gallery First Look

On their second date, Paige and Cooper wandered into the Weinberger Fine Art gallery in crossroads. They revisited several times throughout their relationship for date nights. It became a special place in their relationship, which made it the perfect backdrop for them to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. The gallery was generous enough to let us have the space to ourselves for a little bit so P + C could soak up the wedding day vibes and take a few portraits in the minimalistic gallery space. I love that they chose such a unique location for this part of the day.

Ceremony at The Corrigan Station Rooftop

Located in the heart of the Crossroads District, the Corrigan Station Rooftop is the perfect spot for a Kansas City skyline wedding. Paige and Cooper waited for their guests’ arrival in the penthouse suite with their family and bridal party. The rooftop holds a perfect view of the city with an impressive outdoor capacity of up to 300 guests. Complete with an outdoor bar, generous fire pits and outdoor heaters for chillier days, it’s the perfect spot to invite your guests from out of town to take in the view and celebrate your nuptials.

Wedding Party Cocktail Hour at The Agave Lounge

Between the ceremony and reception, Paige and Cooper wanted to spend some time alone with just their closest friends. The hosted a private cocktail hour for the wedding party at the Agave Lounge at Mean Mule Distilling Co. Gathering over tequila in the cozy event space, they spent an hour relaxing before greeting their friends at family at the reception. The lounge is impeccably designed and spacious enough to accommodate a large group. It was just steps away from their reception venue, making it a perfect spot for the in-between hours!

Wedding Reception at The Guild

The Guild is one of my favorite venues in Kansas City. It’s interior is minimalistic with a few iconic staples that add so much to the ambiance of the room. The giant chandelier in the middle of the dance floor can elevate any type of decor, and the concrete flooring and exposed brick keep the crossroads warehouse feel alive. Every wedding I’ve shot at the Guild always looks so different, and I love that the simplicity of the space allows couples to bring their own vibe to the decor, but it doesn’t feel plain or underdressed even with a simple floral concept and sparing details. The farmhouse tables are made from reclaimed timber and are included in the space rental as well. The outdoor garden is the perfect spot for a ceremony, with stringed lights and a perfect grassy lawn. It’s within steps from a number of fantastic bars and hotels in crossroads, making it easy for your guests to navigate the spaces between ceremony and reception and get safely to their sleeping arrangements at the end of the evening. Not to mention the staff at the Guild are the nicest, fastest, most accommodating to work with. I couldn’t recommend their space more.

The Best Kansas City Wedding Vendors

There are several other vendors worth mentioning from Paige and Cooper’s shindig! Stephanie with Pretty + Planned did the coordination and knocked the design out of the park. I loved working with her team and I’m so grateful for their speedy communication and attention to detail. DJ Alex Reed is my favorite wedding DJ in the city. He is professional, hilarious, and spins the very best tunes. He can read the room so well - I love that he’s always able to shift quickly whenever the party needs a pick me up. Anytime I hear that someone has hired him, I’m stoked. Wild Hill did Paige and Cooper’s floral arrangements and jaw dropping ceremony decor. I don’t know a thing about how florists work their magic but Jenni and her team never cease to amaze me. Paige’s Sarah Seven dress was found at Bride KC, also located in the crossroads, featuring a beautiful selection of modern gowns. Cottontale KC provided cotton candy treats for the guests during their cocktail hour. Taylor’d Weddings made this beautiful film from the day - go check out her work, she’s amazing! Dolce Bakery made their delicious cake, and Garozzo’s catered the reception. So happy to work with these talented people - Kansas City really is home to some of the best.
