One of the greatest joys of being a Kansas City wedding photographer is seeing the ways that couples choose to celebrate all of the things that makes their relationship unique. It’s been such a pleasure to work with Katie and Brendan and watch them incorporate so many thoughtful touches into their wedding plans. Katie and Brendan have spent many nights with their friends doing karaoke at their favorite dive bar. As a nod to what brought them together, they chose to host karaoke at their wedding reception! It was a fantastic way to keep the crowd engaged while everyone danced the night away, and a unique detail that made their wedding true to their relationship.
Hosting Your Wedding at The Barn at Riverbend
Located just 20 minutes south of Kansas City, The Barn at Riverbend is a picturesque, family-owned venue for your outdoor wedding ceremony and barn reception. Their hillside ceremony spot can seat up to 200 guests on beautiful rustic benches under beautiful mature trees, arranged as if you’re attending an event at an outdoor amphitheater. The stringed lights that surround the reclaimed barn metal buildings are reminiscent of an old Kansas Honkytonk, while the indoor and covered reception locale gives the essence of modern farmhouse. The land surrounding the venue is beautiful in all seasons, with incredible gardens and whimsical woodland prairie. At every turn, The Barn at Riverbend will amaze your guests while making them feel right at home.
